Florida High Speed Internet completes acquisition of Joytel Wireless Communications
Florida High Speed Internet, a leading Florida internet service provider, today announced its acquisition of Joytel Wireless Communications, a Northeastern Florida internet and data connectivity provider for enterprise, county and municipal customers. The addition of Joytel enables Florida High Speed Internet to continue its network expansion in Duval, St. Johns and Flagler counties and to offer additional services to the existing Joytel customers.
“With our existing footprint in Northeast Florida, expansion in that area makes sense,” says Scott Carullo, President of Florida High Speed Internet. “By adding Joytel Wireless, we can bring together two robust networks under one company, giving customers in Duval, St. Johns and Flagler counties the full extent of Florida High Speed Internet's offerings, including internet transit, data transport and carrier grade telephony services.”
The existing Joytel customers can now obtain SIP and VoIP telephone services in addition to MPLS, Metro-E and VPLS services. Under Florida High Speed Internet, Joytel will become the Northeast Florida division with a focus on continuing to deliver quality and value as an alternative to the incumbent cable and telephone carriers. Both divisions will support Florida High Speed Internet's mission to give businesses, counties and municipalities the highest quality services at the best value.
“By having Joytel join the Florida High Speed Internet team, our customers benefit from the leadership and larger scale of the Florida High Speed Internet network, while ensuring they continue to receive that personal level of support and attention they expect,” says Mark Marques, the former Joytel CEO. Alp Yaldir, Operations Manager at Joytel added, “It's an exciting time, with Florida High Speed Internet we will be able to enhance the service options to customers by leveraging the solid network and personnel we have built and offer our customers additional valuable services like VoIP telephone and SIP trunks.”
With several prior acquisitions and organic growth, the Joytel acquisition cements Florida High Speed Internet as a market leader of internet transit and transport. “It’s not enough to simply give clients internet – businesses need point to point connectivity, and a broad range of telephony services integrated with their connectivity provider - a unified communications provider. Between our combined fiber networks, expanding fixed wireless networks, and our telephony offerings Florida High Speed Internet can provide the greatest value to our customers and the best service,” says Robert Berlin Director of Operations at Florida High Speed Internet.
